Hi my name is Erica and this is my teen book reviews blog. Today i will start with two books i read recently and i would review them.

This are the books:

1. Fallen by Lauren Kate

This book i found in Borders like two weeks ago. The cover is amazing and so the story. This is the description:

Overall, I think this book was really good, a very interesting story. There were not many suprise factors about it. Also I found the story a little confusing especially the parts about the angels and demons. The main character has a bit of an edge but still very confuse about her past. Overall it was a good book. I think i was suprised to find that this book is nothing like twilight after reading too many vampire books.A good read, no regrets. The supernatural aspect was interesting and I loved how it brought the biblical proof of angels into the book. I'd like to see where the rest of the story goes, because it ends abruptly. There are bazillions of unanswered questions.

2. The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon

This is not a book you will find in the young adult section but i still recommend teens to read it. This is the description of the book:

This is a beautiful book to read. The setting(Barcelona)is amazing and you feel like you were actually there in that time. Also is so romantic and some of the characters are very funny and familiar. The book was originally written in spanish but i find the english to very good also.

But most important of all is that Shadow of the Wind is true. It's one of those rare books where you don't just hear 'their' story, it becomes your story as well. To loosely quote Caráx, "it holds up a mirror and a window to your soul," because it teaches us about who we are--about the communities that bind and define you.

And every single moment Fermín Romero de Torres was 'on screen' I had the biggest grins on my face, truly one of the great characters of literature.

I've not a single criticism or reservation about this book.
